A heavy-duty fleet OS for trucks and trailers that unites driver inspections, road repairs, vendor grading, and diesel-shop work orders around one VIN-based asset history.
AutoFleetOS closes the communication gap between the road and the shop. Every inspection, breakdown, repair, and invoice attaches to a real asset by VIN, so fleet and shop teams finally see one shared timeline.
The challenge
What needed to change
In trucking, the people who find problems (drivers on the road) and the people who fix them (the diesel shop) work in different systems and rarely see the full picture. Repair histories live in spreadsheets and text threads, vendors are hard to hold accountable, and preventive maintenance slips.
The solution
What I designed and built
- Mobile walk-around inspections with required condition photos and damage capture.
- Road-call and breakdown tracking that records cost, vendor, downtime, and cause.
- Vendor performance grading by location and repair category to help fleets avoid predatory shops.
- A diesel-shop module for in-house work orders, technician assignments, and preventive maintenance synced to Samsara odometer data.
- A unified per-VIN asset timeline shared across fleet operations and the shop.

One connected platform, two sellable modules — Fleet Operations and Diesel Shop Management — over a shared asset-history layer. Live in production with mobile apps for drivers.
